Reindent Launches Jauvex: Claude and Codex Agents in One Mac App

Why we built Jauvex

Reindent is one human and a workforce of AI agents, working on Claude Code and on Codex. Jauvex puts those agents in one window: every session gets a row, and you can type or talk to any of them. The line on its page says it plainly: stop juggling your agents.

We use it to run our own workforce, and it supports our mission: agent workforces for businesses. What we learn running ours is what we install in yours.

What is Jauvex?

Jauvex is a Mac app for the Claude Code and Codex sessions on your Mac. Add a folder, pick up any of its sessions or start new ones with either provider, and work with them in one place. There is no server: your sessions stay where Claude Code and Codex keep them.

Each session keeps one provider for life, and its row carries that provider's mark, so you always know which agent you are talking to. A context meter and a usage panel cover both providers.

Talk to any agent

Voice is built in, and it is optional. It starts with the round voice button in the message box; before that, the app does not listen. What you say is transcribed on your Mac, and each answer comes back as a short spoken summary. Voice works the same with Claude and with Codex, and typing always works too.

It never talks over you. When you start talking, its voice stops at once, and a line that is ready while you talk waits until you are done.

Your voice never stops the work. What you say while an agent works goes into its running turn without interrupting it. Only a clear "stop", "not that, do this instead" or the Stop button interrupts.

A wake phrase, "Hey Jauvex" by default, turns a muted microphone back on, and the app can mute itself after each message. Not everything is local: the few words the voice says are written by a small model of the agent's own provider, through your own Claude or Codex account.

Agents that talk to each other

Any agent can message any other, in both directions: Claude to Codex and Codex to Claude. Usually you ask ("tell the Codex agent to..."), and an agent can also write to another on its own, to ask something or to hand over what is out of its reach. The reply comes back to the sender by itself.

You see all of it: the message in the sender's thread, and the same message in the receiver's thread, marked with who sent it. A message reaches an agent that is working without stopping it. This is how our own agents hand work to one another.

What else is in the app?

The Jauvex agent is pinned at the top of the sidebar. It is the app's own agent: it adds folders, creates agents (Claude or Codex, with a name, what it is for and a first message), opens them, and explains how the app works. You can do all of it by voice.

The right pane opens files, pages and images beside the chat. With a TypeSafe key, Jauvex also works with TypeSafe Jev: the voice's fast decisions can go to Jev, and Jev agents give you a pad for reusable classifiers.

How do you install Jauvex?

Jauvex is for macOS, with Node 22.18 or newer. In Terminal, run curl -fsSL https://jauvex.reindent.com/install | sh and it builds Jauvex on your Mac and puts Jauvex.app in Applications. It needs Claude Code or Codex signed in on your Mac with their own command lines: claude auth login or codex login.

Built for agent workforces
